Can I book online?

What times are the shop and office open?
The time varies dependant on the time of year. Please check at the shop or call 01557 331079.
What are the pitches like?
Most pitches are a mix of grass and hard stand, with electric. We have fully service pitches (grass/hardcore pitch with electric , tap and drain. We also have grass pitches and a few with electric.
I’ve hired holiday accommodation, what do I need to bring?
Bring towels and tea towels, new holiday wardrobe and best holiday joie de vivre. We provide the bed linen. You can hire travel cots and high chairs for a charge but please let us know when you are placing your booking. (See Self Catering accommodation FAQs)
Is there an iron and ironing board in the holiday home?
No, however an iron and ironing board can be found in the laundry at the toilet block.
Do I have to book for a week or can I come for a mini break?
Both are great with us. Weekly lets are Saturday to Saturday. Mini breaks are Friday to Monday, Monday to Friday.
What happens if I’m going to be late?
Please contact us to let us know. If you’ve hired accommodation, we will leave instructions at the reception on how to pick up your key. If you’re arriving on spec after hours, please contact the mobile number on the reception door where someone will be able to assist. Or ring us at head office reception during office hours on 01557 870267.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, do. There are great walks, including of course, the beach, but please keep Fido on a lead in the park and pick up Fido’s poo.
Is there mobile reception?
Not really, you’re off the beaten track but there are patches in higher areas where O2/Tesco are best.
What is there for the kids to do?
Enjoy the sandy beach: build sandcastles and explore the rock pools. For our customers staying on the park we have a heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor children’s play area, TV and games room. Only 3 miles away along the coast our head office Brighouse Bay Holiday Park where you can use the indoor swimming pool, pony trekking (seasonal), mini 10 pin bowling, family putting green, 18 hole golf course and driving range.
The popular Cream o’ Galloway about eight miles away has the award-winning ice cream. The Cocoabean Company’s Chocolate Factory, Twynholm is about four miles away where kids make and decorate chocolate slabs, marshmallow treats and shaky shape animals to take home, and there are indoor and outdoor play areas, activities, cafe and shop.
What time can I check-in?
Tourers and campers are welcome any time after 1.30pm; Hire of Holiday homes check-in is from 4pm.
Where is the nearest bank?
Kirkcudbright (three miles)
Is there public transport available from the park?

What are your showers like?
In a word, great. The heated toilet block has hot, powerful showers and they are free.
Can we have a barbecue?
Yes but please not directly on the grass, decking or picnic benches and please barbecue with consideration for your holidaying neighbours.
Is the site accessible for all?
The on-site shop, wash up area and toilet block are wheelchair-accessible (please bring your radar key for access).
Unhappy with your pitch?
Come to reception and we’ll do our best to find you another you love
Can’t work the boiler? Don’t know how the telly works? Power’s gone off? Any other problem?
Please come in and tell us asap and we’ll sort it as soon as we can. (Please remember too you’re holidaying off the beaten track in rural Scotland and our suppliers can’t get things on a Sunday)
Where do I book activities?
At Seaward Holiday Park you don’t need to book. At Brighouse Bay Holiday Park come to reception to buy your Activity Ticket or book Pony Trekking (seasonal) and family putting green. At the Leisure Club is where you book indoor swimming, pump track and bike trail, mini ten pin bowling, golf and driving range.
Are the facilities and activities available all year round?
The Park is open from 1st March till 31st October with facilities and activities available during this time. Weather dependant the heated outdoor pool (for customers staying on the park) is open from end of May till mid-September.
Mad keen golfer?
